Non-contact measurement of bipolar plates
This measurement report is about the shape and dimensional accuracy of bipolar plates, which are critical and difficult to measure. Bruker Alicona 3D optical metrology solutions provide the ability to measure GD&T features of these critical components without physical contact.
The main focus for bipolar plates is on the dimensional accuracy of the flowfields. With the optical coordinate measuring system µCMM, users measure radii, height steps and distances. Further parameters are the areal roughness (Sa, Sq, Sz) at the channel bottom and on the die.
This measurement report was created in cooperation with Fraunhofer IPT and AVL.
